Aweer workshop utilises an EMO 30-30
rolling machine which has a capacity to
roll 3m wide and 30mm thick high tensile
plate - down to a minimum ID of 660 mm.
The machine compliments our ASME
Certification for “U”’ “PP”, “R”, “NB”
and “S” certified works on pressure
vessels. It also has excellent pre-pinch
capabilities to avoid “flat-end”
wastage. The 6m x 6m Column & Boom
welding manipulator in Aweer workshop
with 100 ton rotators, fitted on rails
down the entire length of the workshop,
allows us to produce Process Towers and
vessels of up to 30 metres in height /
length. The heaviest item produced so
far weighed 60 ton and was 23 metres in
height with a shell thickness of 65 mm -
An Amine Contactor. Road restrictions
limit the maximum diameter produced to
5.0 metres
UAQ workshop has a 3 metre width x 16mm
rolling machine for lighter vessels. Our
PWHT furnace, large vessel hydrotesting
facility and blasting & coating room are
also situated at UAQ for completion of
the larger vessels after fabrication in
Aweer workshop and prior to delivery to
the client, by road or by barge from our
quayside.
